The Open Science Grid (OSG) is a national cyberinfrastructure that brings together computing and storage resources from campuses and research communities. The CIGI lab is a part of OSG and contributes technical and management expertise. Dr. Shaowen Wang serves as a member of the OSG Council, which governs the OSG Consortium. Dr. Anand Padmanabhan is a member of the OSG Security team that is responsible for OSG security framework. In the past CIGI has also contributed to and lead the troubleshooting effort on the OSG.
Additionally, CIGI is also a Virtual Organization (VO) in the OSG. The CIGI VO consists of members from earth and social sciences communities who develop and use geospatial information systems and technologies. Our members run experiments that also exploits opportunistic resources available on the OSG.
